The Autumn issue of Fish & Fly Magazine has a huge 18-page
spread devoted to the Sandy River Spey Clave. They call it, "A Clan
Gathering". We couldn''t have described it better ourselves. And what about
our buddy Simon Gawesworth on the cover with the Christmasee red and green
colors?
This is an excerpt of what they say about the Clave.
"Deep in the Douglas fir forests of Oregon, an annual soiree
takes place along the banks of the Sandy River. It''s a place where 17-foot
fly rods and 280-foot casts are less the inconceivable rants of drunken
anglers and more the documented truths of stone-cold sober casters. It''s the
Sandy River Spey Clave, and it might just be the finest spey gathering held
on the planet."
